My stay at Melia Recoleta Plaza Hotel was a mixed experience. While the location in the upscale Recoleta neighborhood was fantastic, the rooms were smaller than expected and showed signs of wear and mildew. The staff, although friendly, seemed overwhelmed, and the breakfast lacked the diversity I anticipated from such a heritage hotel.

Rooms
6.0
I found the Deluxe room clean and well-lit but was disappointed by its lack of windows and the dreary terrace due to ongoing construction. The bathroom was tiny, making it hard not to create a mess with the small shower.
Service
6.0
While the front desk staff was helpful with bookings and transfers, I experienced delays in response times and repairs, such as a leaking bathroom sink that remained unresolved during my stay. Overall, service varied greatly.
Location
9.0
The hotel is situated on a quiet, tree-lined street, perfect for exploring Recoleta's attractions. I loved being close to parks, museums, and various restaurants, making it easy to enjoy the neighborhood.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast options were adequate, but I was disappointed by the limited variety and some cold dishes. I had hoped for better quality at this hotel's level, especially with the historical significance of its dining experience.
Facilities
5.0
The rooftop pool was underwhelming and not the relaxing spot I had envisioned, particularly with ongoing construction around it. The amenities could use some updates for a more comfortable stay.

I had the pleasure of staying at Melia Recoleta Plaza Hotel for two nights, and overall, it was a charming experience. The central location made it easy to explore the beautiful neighborhood, and the breakfast was quite good. However, I found the rooms could use some refurbishment – particularly the bathrooms, which were a bit small and outdated.

The Melia Room I stayed in was comfortable, but it felt a bit cramped, with a bathroom that was hidden away and not very spacious. The king bed was definitely comfortable, which helped balance the experience.

However, I was a bit let down by the noise in my room, which affected my sleep on the first floor. The staff was helpful, and breakfast was nice, but I felt some areas could use improvement.

I had a generally positive experience at the Melia Recoleta Plaza Hotel. The location in a safe and beautiful neighborhood was a big plus for me, and the staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. However, I did have a couple of strange experiences, particularly during check-in, that left me a bit concerned about privacy protocols.
